Amlodipine dilates (widens) blood vessels and increases blood flow. Altogether, Amsartan 50 mg/5 mg Tablet helps to lower high blood pressure, chest pain (angina) and other conditions caused by coronary artery disease.

Amsartan 50 mg/5 mg Tablet can cause high levels of potassium in the blood leading to hyperkalaemia. Hence it is not recommended to use potassium supplements along with Amsartan 50 mg/5 mg Tablet. However, consult your doctor if you are already taking other medicines before starting Amsartan 50 mg/5 mg Tablet.
