Bluclox P 125 mg/125 mg Tablet belongs to the group of antibiotic medicines called penicillins. Bluclox P 125 mg/125 mg Tablet is composed of two antibiotics, namely: ampicillin and cloxacillin. It is used to treat bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, bones, lungs, and post-operative wound infections. It is a broad-spectrum antibiotic which is effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Bluclox P 125 mg/125 mg Tablet works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for their survival. Thereby kills the bacteria and helps in treating and preventing bacterial infections.

Diarrhoea might be a side-effect of Bluclox P 125 mg/125 mg Tablet. Drink lots of fluids and eat non-spicy food if you experience diarrhoea. If you find blood in stools (tarry stools) or if you experience prolonged diarrhoea with abdominal pain, stop taking Bluclox P 125 mg/125 mg Tablet and consult your doctor. Do not take anti-diarrhoeal medicine on your own.

Even if you feel better, it is recommended to complete the course of Bluclox P 125 mg/125 mg Tablet as prescribed by the doctor as it is an antibiotic, and stopping it in between may lead to antibiotic resistance.
