Elargic-LA Tablet is a combination of anti-asthma and anti-allergic drugs, consisting of three medicines: Levocetirizine, Ambroxol, and Montelukast. Levocetirizine blocks the effects of a chemical messenger known as 'histamine,' which is naturally involved in allergic reactions. It helps relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, running nose, watery eyes, itching, swelling, congestion, or stiffness. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that reduces mucus and makes coughing easy. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist, which blocks a chemical messenger (leukotriene) and reduces inflammation and swelling in the nose, making it easy to breathe. Collectively, all of them help to improve symptoms and treat asthma.

Elargic-LA Tablet is generally given for the long-term management of asthma. Please do not stop taking Elargic-LA Tablet even if you feel better, which may worsen your condition. For the best advice, consult your doctor and do as recommended.

If you remember, within 4 hours of the time the Elargic-LA Tablet was due, take Elargic-LA Tablet straight away. Take your next dose at your normal time. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose of Elargic-LA Tablet .

Syrup formulations of Elargic-LA Tablet may affect the blood sugar/blood glucose levels. You are advised to monitor your blood glucose levels while taking the Elargic-LA Tablet regularly. Inform your doctor if you have diabetes before consuming Elargic-LA Tablet . However, you can also use sugar-free formulations.

Yes, sometimes taking Elargic-LA Tablet causes dry mouth. If you feel your mouth is dry, increase fluid intake, and do frequent mouthwashes.
