Loram 2.5 Tablet Substitute

Loram 2.5 Tablet contains Ramipril and Losartan. Ramipril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor and works by lowering the body’s production of substances that could narrow the blood vessels and increase blood pressure. Losartan is an angiotensin-II receptor blocker (ARB) which narrows the blood vessels increasing the blood pressure, therefore blocking angiotensin can result in widening of the narrowed blood vessels. Together, Loram 2.5 Tablet can effectively reduce blood pressure and prevent complications associated with it.

Loram 2.5 Tablet can be safely taken as long as your doctor has prescribed it to you. High blood pressure is a life-long condition and you should not abruptly stop taking the medicine. Discontinuing Loram 2.5 Tablet may lead to increased blood pressure with a high risk of heart attack and stroke in the future.

Please inform your doctor before surgery if you are taking Loram 2.5 Tablet as it needs to be stopped. Loram 2.5 Tablet might lower the blood pressure further if taken along with general anesthesia.

Loram 2.5 Tablet may cause side-effects such as headache, dizziness, hypotension (abnormally low blood pressure), especially when you stand or sit up quickly, dry cough, weakness, stomach pain, diarrhea, indigestion, feeling or being sick, skin rash, chest pain, muscle cramps, hyperkalemia (increased potassium levels in the blood) and hypoglycemia (decreased glucose levels in the blood). If any of these side-effects persist or get worse, inform your doctor immediately.

Loram 2.5 Tablet is probably safe for diabetic patients if it is prescribed by a doctor. Loram 2.5 Tablet protects the kidney and slows down the decrease of kidney function in hypertensive (high blood pressure) and type 2 diabetic patients.
