Pregcert-Aq 50 Injection 2.237 ml belongs to the class of medicines known as hormones. It is used to maintain early pregnancy in cases of documented history of repeated miscarriages due to luteal phase defect and in selected cases as an adjunct to successful infertility treatment with techniques such as in vitro fertilisation (IVF) or gamete intra-fallopian transfer (GIFT) to facilitate uterine implantation of the fertilised ovum. In cases of secondary amenorrhoea (paused or missed periods), it can also be used as a progesterone withdrawal test to assess oestrogen priming. Furthermore, it can treat threatening abortions and dysfunctional uterine haemorrhages.
Pregcert-Aq 50 Injection 2.237 ml contains progesterone; it works by increasing levels of the hormone progesterone in your body.

Using Pregcert-Aq 50 Injection 2.237 ml is contraindicated in people with cancers such as breast or genital organs. So, inform your doctor if you have cancer in your breasts or genital organs.
Pregcert-Aq 50 Injection 2.237 ml is contraindicated in people allergic to progesterone or people diagnosed with porphyria (a disorder in the formation of red blood pigment), cancers in breasts or genital organs, or a blocked blood vessel, vaginal infections, and/or people with missed abortion.
