Telzio-Beta 25 Tab contains telmisartan and metoprolol. Telmisartan works by blocking the angiotensin II receptor. Angiotensin II constricts the blood vessels, so by blocking its effect, telmisartan allows the blood vessels to relax and widen. Metoprolol helps to reduce blood pressure by allowing the blood to flow more smoothly. Together, Telzio-Beta 25 Tab helps in reducing the blood pressure to normal.

Telzio-Beta 25 Tab may cause a slow heart rate (bradycardia). A minor fluctuation should not be a worry, however, if slow heart rate continues and you begin to feel unwell, speak with your doctor.

Telzio-Beta 25 Tab may alter potassium levels. Therefore, inform your doctor if you are taking food rich in potassium such as potassium-containing salt substitutes or over-the-counter potassium supplements.
