ULCEND CAPSULE belongs to a group of medicines called gastrointestinal agents used to treat heartburn, indigestion, epigastric pain, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. ULCEND CAPSULE is a combination of two drugs, namely: Omeprazole (proton pump inhibitor) and Domperidone (a dopamine antagonist). Omeprazole works by blocking the action of an enzyme called gastric proton pump, which is responsible for the production of acid Domperidone works by increasing the movements and contractions of stomach muscle. Can I lie down after having meals?

Avoid lying down immediately after meals to prevent acid reflux. Raise the head of the bed 10-20cm by putting a pillow so that the head and chest are above the waist. This helps in preventing acid reflux.

Does ULCEND CAPSULE cause dry mouth?

Dry mouth could be a side-effect of ULCEND CAPSULE. Limiting caffeine intake, avoiding smoking and mouthwashes containing alcohol, drinking water regularly, and chewing sugar-free gum/candy might help in stimulating saliva and thereby prevents drying of the mouth.

Can I take ULCEND CAPSULE for nausea?

ULCEND CAPSULE contains domperidone which helps in treating nausea and vomiting. However, ULCEND CAPSULE is used to treat acidity. Please consult your doctor, he/she may prescribe you an alternate medicine for treating nausea and vomiting.

Is it safe to take ULCEND CAPSULE for longer durations?

Do not take ULCEND CAPSULE for longer durations unless prescribed by the doctor. Consult your doctor if your condition does not improve even after taking ULCEND CAPSULE for 14days.
