Uses:
Cough
Medicinal Benefits:
Yumytus D Syrup contains Ambroxol, Dextromethorphan hydrobromide, Phenylephrine, Chlorpheniramine maleate and Menthol. Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent that works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe and nose. Dextromethorphan hydrobromide is an anti-tussive agent that blocks the transmission of nerve signals from the cough centre in the brain to the muscles that produce cough. Thus, decreasing the need to cough. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that works by contracting and narrowing the blood vessels. Thereby, providing relief from congestion and decreasing mucus production. Chlorpheniramine maleate is an anti-histamine that blocks the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. Menthol is a cooling agent that produces a cooling sensation and provides relief from minor throat irritation.
