Aerocort Rotacaps is a combination medication used to treat asthma. Asthma is a respiratory condition caused by hypersensitive airways, which become inflamed, swollen and filled with mucous, making breathing difficult. Symptoms include shortness of breath, wheezing, and cough.

Aerocort Rotacaps contains Beclomethasone (corticosteroids) and Levosalbutamol (bronchodilators). Levosalbutamol works by relaxing muscles and widening the airways of the lungs. Beclomethasone works by preventing the release of certain chemicals in the body that cause inflammatory reactions. Thereby, Aerocort Rotacaps makes breathing easier.

Use Aerocort Rotacaps as prescribed. In some cases, Aerocort Rotacaps may cause certain common side effects such as thrush, hoarseness of voice and headache. Most of these side effects do not require any acute medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen.

Keep your doctor informed of your entire medical history including any use of antidepressants, anti-asthma drugs, corticosteroids, beta-blockers for blood pressure or diuretics/water tablets. • Practising deep breathing exercises as it might help in controlling asthma attacks and relieving symptoms.
• Invest in good hygiene and relaxation techniques.
• Maintain a healthy body weight by exercising for at least 30 minutes every day. However, do not overexert yourself.
• Avoid tobacco use. Inform your doctor in case of marijuana use.
• Practise good oral hygiene.
• Eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly to strengthen your breathing muscles and boost your immune system.
