Androsure 1000mg Injection 4 ml belongs to a group of medicines called androgens indicated for testosterone replacement therapy in adult men for conditions associated with a deficiency/absence of endogenous testosterone, such as primary hypogonadism and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. 
 
Androsure 1000mg Injection 4 ml contains Testosterone, which helps replenish the deficient testosterone levels in adult men. Thereby, Androsure 1000mg Injection 4 ml helps in treating deficiency/absence of endogenous testosterone. Testosterone is the anabolic steroid and primary sex hormone in males, which plays an important role in developing male reproductive tissues like the prostate and testes.
 
Androsure 1000mg Injection 4 ml will be administered by a healthcare professional; do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience side effects such as injection site reactions, polycythemia (high number of red blood cells), headache, and depression. You are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Do not take Androsure 1000mg Injection 4 ml if you are allergic to any of its contents; or if you have prostate cancer or breast cancer. Androsure 1000mg Injection 4 ml is not intended for use in women. Inform your doctor if you have a high blood cell count or high haemoglobin laboratory value, urinary problems due to an enlarged prostate, heart problems, diabetes, sleep apnoea (breathing problem while sleeping), or liver or kidney problems. Androsure 1000mg Injection 4 ml is not recommended for children below 12 years as safety and effectiveness have not been established. 

• Tuna, egg yolks, fortified cereals, oysters, shell fish, and beans are good sources of Testosterone.
• Maintain a healthy diet and exercise regularly.
• Get ample rest and proper sleep.
• Reduce stress levels by doing yoga or meditation. 
• Consume foods that are rich in zinc, such as nuts, crab, beans, lobster, and whole grains.

• Regular monitoring of blood pressure, blood sugar levels, red blood cell count, and haemoglobin levels is advised.
• Consult your doctor if you notice any signs and symptoms of a blood clot in your leg, such as pain, swelling or redness or signs and symptoms of a blood clot in your lungs, like difficulty breathing or chest pain.
• Consult your doctor immediately if you have changes in mood or depression.

Testosterone replacement therapy: Testosterone replacement therapy, also known as androgen replacement therapy, is used to treat low levels of testosterone. Testosterone is the anabolic steroid and primary sex hormone in males, which plays an important role in the development of male reproductive tissues like the prostate and testes. Symptoms of low testosterone include reduced sex drive, erectile dysfunction, low/zero sperm count, loss of pubic/armpit hair, shrinking testicles, and hot flushes.

Primary hypogonadism: Primary hypogonadism is a condition in which the gonads (testes in men and ovaries in women) produce insufficient sex hormones. Sex hormones are responsible for secondary sexual characteristics, such as testicular development in men and breast development in women. Autoimmune disorders, genetic disorders, severe infections, pituitary disorders, and inflammatory diseases could be the causes of hypogonadism.
