About App Up Plus Syrup 200 ml

App Up Plus Syrup 200 ml is used to stimulate the appetite and treat alimentary tract and metabolism problems. App Up Plus Syrup 200 ml helps in the treatment of lack of appetite, weight loss and anorexia nervosa (an eating disorder with low body weight). Besides this, it is also prescribed for underweight children who have an inadequate dietary intake, loss of appetite, anaemia, liver/digestive disorder and as an adjunct to anti-tubercular (anti-TB drugs) and antiretroviral (anti-HIV drugs) treatment for weight gain.

App Up Plus Syrup 200 ml is a combination of two drugs, namely: Cyproheptadine (antihistamine/antiallergic) and Tricholine (bile acid binder). Cyproheptadine works by reducing the effect of a chemical messenger in the hypothalamus called serotonin, thereby helps to stimulate the appetite. On the other hand, Tricholine is a bile acid-binding agent that works by removing excess bile acid by producing more bile acid utilizing more cholesterol in this process which in turn lowers the fat content in our body.

You are advised to take App Up Plus Syrup 200 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as dry mouth, drowsiness, confusion, and ataxia (impaired balance or coordination). Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.
