Articlor Pineapple Suspension belongs to a class of drugs called antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections such as pneumonia (infection of lung tissue), bronchitis, throat infections including pharyngitis and tonsillitis, otitis media (middle ear infections), sinusitis (infection of the sinuses), skin and soft tissue infections, bladder and kidney infections. Bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Articlor Pineapple Suspension does not work against infections, flu or cold symptoms caused by the virus.

Articlor Pineapple Suspension contains Cefaclor, an antibiotic that works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) necessary for their survival. Thereby damaging the bacterial cell wall and killing the bacterial cell. Thus, it prevents the growth of bacterial infection. 

Use Articlor Pineapple Suspension as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to use Articlor Pineapple Suspension for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for your child based on their medical condition. Articlor Pineapple Suspension may cause side effects such as vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea, weakness or itching. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or bother your child, please consult your doctor.

If your child is allergic to Cefaclor, penicillins or any other medicines, please tell the doctor. Articlor Pineapple Suspension should be used in children above 1 month in doses as prescribed by a doctor only. If your child has severe kidney problems, inform your doctor before using Articlor Pineapple Suspension. You are recommended to complete the full course of Articlor Pineapple Suspension as prescribed by the doctor, even if your child feels better after a few days.

Granules for Suspension: Check the label for directions before use. Boil water, and allow it to cool. Slowly add cooled water up to the arrow mark on the label. Shake vigorously. Adjust the volume up to the mark by adding more water if necessary. This makes 30 ml of the suspension. Shake the bottle well before use and give the prepared suspension to your child as advised by the doctor. The constituted suspension should be consumed within 1 week of preparation. Store constituted suspension in a refrigerator.

• Give probiotics after completing the full course of Articlor Pineapple Suspension to restore some healthy bacteria in the intestines that may have been killed. Taking probiotics after antibiotic treatment can reduce the risk of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. Certain fermented foods like cheese, yoghurt, kombucha, sauerkraut, and kimchi can restore the good bacteria of the intestine.

• Include fibre-rich foods, as they can be easily digested by your gut bacteria, which helps stimulate their growth. Thus, fibre-rich foods may help restore healthy gut bacteria after a course of antibiotics. Whole grains such as whole-grain bread and brown rice should be included in your diet.

• Make sure your child drinks plenty of water or other fluids every day while using Articlor Pineapple Suspension.

If your child is about to undergo blood or urine tests, inform the doctor that your child is taking Articlor Pineapple Suspension as it may interfere with these tests.
