About Biodoxi-LB Capsule

Biodoxi-LB Capsule belongs to a group of medications called antibiotics, used to treat bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections, intestinal infections, respiratory infections, eye infections, gum infections, and sexually transmitted infections (like gonorrhoea, syphilis). Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. Biodoxi-LB Capsule does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.

Biodoxi-LB Capsule contains Doxycycline and Lactobacillus. Doxycycline prevents the synthesis of essential proteins which are necessary for the survival of the bacteria, thereby kills the bacteria. Lactobacillus is a microorganism that helps in restoring the balance of good bacteria in the gut, which may have gotten upset due to infections or antibiotic use. Together, Biodoxi-LB Capsule helps in treating bacterial infections.

Take Biodoxi-LB Capsule as prescribed. You are advised to take Biodoxi-LB Capsule for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and stomach upset. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Consult your doctor before taking Biodoxi-LB Capsule if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol consumption as it might affect the working of Biodoxi-LB Capsule . Biodoxi-LB Capsule may cause dizziness, so be cautious while driving. Biodoxi-LB Capsule contains Doxycycline and Lactobacillus. Doxycycline prevents the synthesis of essential proteins which are necessary for the survival of the bacteria, thereby kills the bacteria. Lactobacillus is a microorganism that helps in restoring the balance of good bacteria in the gut, which may have gotten upset due to infections or antibiotic use. Together, Biodoxi-LB Capsule helps in treating bacterial infections.

Biodoxi-LB Capsule is unlikely to cause diarrhoea as it contains lactobacillus, a friendly bacteria. Lactobacillus is a probiotic which helps in restoring the balance of good bacteria in the gut, which may have gotten upset due to infections or the use of antibiotics. Thereby helps in preventing diarrhoea.

It is recommended to complete the course of Biodoxi-LB Capsule even if you feel better, as it is an antibiotic. Leaving it in between may lead to even severe infection that will, in fact, stop responding to the antibiotic as well (antibiotic resistance).

Avoid taking iron supplements, calcium supplements, multivitamins, laxatives or antacids along with Biodoxi-LB Capsule . Maintain a gap of two hours between Biodoxi-LB Capsule and other medicines. However, consult your doctor before taking Biodoxi-LB Capsule with other medicines.

Biodoxi-LB Capsule contains doxycycline, which might make you sunburn more easily. Wear protective clothing, sunglasses and sunscreen whilst going outside.
