Bisocut-AM 2.5 Tablet is a combination of blood pressure-lowering medicines primarily used to treat high blood pressure. Hypertension or high blood pressure is a chronic condition in which the force exerted by the blood against the artery wall is high. As a result, it leads to heart diseases, irregular heartbeat, and other complications. Bisocut-AM 2.5 Tablet  lowers the blood pressure and helps in reducing the risk of having a stroke, heart attack, other heart problems, or kidney problems in the future. 

Bisocut-AM 2.5 Tablet contains Amlodipine and Bisoprolol fumarate. Amlodipine acts by relaxing the blood vessels. This reduces the workload on the heart and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Bisoprolol fumarate helps in relaxing the blood vessels by blocking the action of certain natural substances in the body. Together, Bisocut-AM 2.5 Tablet helps treat high blood pressure.

You are advised to take Bisocut-AM 2.5 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed, to treat your condition effectively. In some cases, Bisocut-AM 2.5 Tablet may cause side effects like headache, dizziness, palpitations, abdominal pain, ankle swelling, and oedema. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Avoid taking Bisocut-AM 2.5 Tablet if you are allergic to any of the components. Consult your doctor before starting Bisocut-AM 2.5 Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Bisocut-AM 2.5 Tablet is not recommended for children below 18years as the safety and effectiveness have not been established. Bisocut-AM 2.5 Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid alcohol consumption along with Bisocut-AM 2.5 Tablet as it may potentiate the blood pressure-lowering effect of Bisocut-AM 2.5 Tablet .

Together, Bisocut-AM 2.5 Tablet lowers the blood pressure and helps in reducing the risk of having a stroke, heart attack, other heart problems, or kidney problems in the future.

Avoid taking Bisocut-AM 2.5 Tablet if you are allergic to any of the components. Inform your doctor if you have heart problems, diabetes, Prinzmetal angina, psoriasis, pheochromocytoma, very slow heartbeat, serious heart condition, heart blockage, kidney or liver problems, muscle disorder (myasthenia gravis, rhabdomyolysis), breathing problem (COPD, bronchitis, emphysema), low blood pressure (hypotension), depression, previous heart failure, thyroid hormone disorder, adrenal gland cancer, or problems with circulation (Raynaud’s syndrome). Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

• Do regular physical activity or exercise for at least 150 minutes per week, or about 30 minutes most days of the week.
• Opt for a diet rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and low-fat dairy products.
• Quitting smoking is the best strategy to lower the risk of heart disease.
• Avoid chronic stress as it can raise your blood pressure. Try to enjoy and spend time with your loved ones to cope with stress and practice mindfulness techniques.
• Try to include heart-healthy omega 3 fatty acids containing food and drinks in your daily diet. You can also use low-fat cooking oil like olive oil, soybean oil, canola oil, and coconut oil as they may help in lowering your elevated blood pressure.

• Limit intake of sodium chloride (table salt) in your daily diet to 2300 mg per day.
• If you accidentally take an extra dose of Bisocut-AM 2.5 Tablet , please inform your doctor immediately. Some of the common symptoms of an overdose can be low blood pressure, slow pulse, shortness of breath, low blood sugar, dizziness, feeling sick and blue discolouration of the skin.
•  Do not discontinue taking Bisocut-AM 2.5 Tablet abruptly or without the advice of the physician.

High blood pressure can be diagnosed with the help of a blood pressure monitor or sphygmomanometer. Ideal blood pressure should be between 90/60 mm of Hg and 120/80 mm of Hg.
