Coughing (dry or productive) is the body's way of clearing irritants (like allergens, mucus or smoke) from airways and preventing infection.

Bronkolyte-LS 1/30/50 Syrup 100 ml is a combination of three drugs, namely Levosalbutamol (bronchodilator), Ambroxol hydrochloride (mucolytic agent), and Guaiphenesin (expectorant). Levosalbutamol works by relaxing muscles and widening the airways of the lungs. Ambroxol hydrochloride works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe, and nose. Thereby helping to cough out phlegm easily. Guaiphenesin increases the volume of fluid in the airways, reduces the stickiness of mucus, and helps to remove it from the airways. Bronkolyte-LS 1/30/50 Syrup 100 ml is for paediatric use. Your doctor will recommend how often your child needs to take Bronkolyte-LS 1/30/50 Syrup 100 ml based on his/her medical condition. Bronkolyte-LS 1/30/50 Syrup 100 ml may cause common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, indigestion, diarrhoea, headache, dry mouth or throat. Most of these side effects of Bronkolyte-LS 1/30/50 Syrup 100 ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. • Avoid dairy products such as milk, as it may increase mucus production. Also, avoid processed or refined foods.
• Replace baked foods, fried foods, white bread, white pasta, french fries, sugary desserts and chips with green leafy vegetables.
• Give plenty of fluids to your child to avoid a dry throat. It also helps loosen mucus.
• Avoid citrus fruits as they may worsen the cough.
• Let your child have fruits rich in water content, such as pears, watermelon, peaches and pineapples.
