About BUTABLETROM TABLET

BUTABLETROM TABLET is a respiratory combination primarily used to treat bronchospasm (wheezing, chest tightness, trouble breathing) in bronchitis, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD). Bronchitis is the inflammation of bronchial tubes, which carry air to and from the lungs. Asthma is a breathing problem in which airways narrow, swell, and produce extra mucus, leading to difficulty breathing. COPD is a group of progressive lung diseases with emphysema (shortness of breath) and chronic bronchitis.

BUTABLETROM TABLET consists of: Bromhexine, Etofylline nicotinate, and Salbutamol. Bromhexine is a 'mucolytic agent' and an 'expectorant' that makes sputum less viscous and makes it easier to cough out. Salbutamol and Etofylline nicotinate belong to the class of drugs known as 'bronchodilators.' They work by widening and relaxing the airways (bronchi) of the lungs.

Use BUTABLETROM TABLET as prescribed by the doctor. Your doctor will advise on how often you take BUTABLETROM TABLET based on your medical condition. The common side effects of BUTABLETROM TABLET include drowsiness, nausea, diarrhoea, bloating, vomiting, sweating, dizziness, headache, skin rash, tremor (shakiness), palpitations (pounding heartbeat), muscle cramps, and increased heart rate. Most of these side effects of BUTABLETROM TABLET do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Try not to stop taking this medicine of your own. Brief your medical history if you have any heart, liver or kidney diseases, thyroid diseases, and irregular heart rhythm or angina before taking BUTABLETROM TABLET. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult the doctor before starting BUTABLETROM TABLET. BUTABLETROM TABLET may cause dizziness and drowsiness; hence drive only when you are mentally alert. Avoid alcohol intake with BUTABLETROM TABLET since it further leads to worsening of side effects. BUTABLETROM TABLET should be used in children above two years of age only if prescribed by the doctor.
