Butesone-M Cream 15 gm is a combination medicine used to treat skin infections caused by fungi such as athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, and tinea versicolor. Fungal infection is a skin disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and causes infection. Fungal infections may be contagious (spread from one person to another).
 
Butesone-M Cream 15 gm contains Miconazole (antifungal) and Clobetasone (steroid). Miconazole works by preventing the formation of fungal protective covering, thereby stops their growth. Clobetasone works by inhibiting the release of chemical messengers that cause inflammation and redness. Together, Butesone-M Cream 15 gm helps in treating skin infections.
 
In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as burning sensation, irritation, itching and redness at the site of application. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
 
Do not use Butesone-M Cream 15 gm if you have had a skin reaction or irritation to any steroid medicine. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use Butesone-M Cream 15 gm in more than prescribed doses or on a large area of skin for a longer duration, as it may cause adverse effects. Do not wrap or cover the treated area with a bandage unless advised by your doctor.

Do not wrap or cover the treated area with a bandage unless advised by your doctor. 

• Regularly change your socks and wash your feet. Avoid shoes that make your feet sweaty and hot.
• In wet places such as changing rooms and gym showers, avoid walking barefoot to prevent fungal infections.
• Do not scratch the affected area of the skin, as it can spread the infection to other body parts.
• Avoid sharing towels, combs, bedsheets, shoes or socks with others.
• Wash your bedsheets and towels regularly.
• Avoiding getting in contact with harsh soaps, detergents and rough fabrics.

• Clean and dry the affected area before using Butesone-M Cream 15 gm.
• Do not use Butesone-M Cream 15 gm on dressing, band-aids and make-up unless told by the doctor.
• If Butesone-M Cream 15 gm comes in contact with eyes, nose or mouth, rinse with water immediately.
• Wash your hands before and after using Butesone-M Cream 15 gm; however, do not wash your hands if you are applying Butesone-M Cream 15 gm on your hands.
• Do not apply Butesone-M Cream 15 gm on wounds, cuts, damaged skin, or scrapes.
