Calcidef Tablet 10's belongs to a class of medications called nutritional supplements used to treat nutritional deficiencies. Drug-Drug Interaction: Calcidef Tablet 10's may interact with anticonvulsants (phenobarbital, primidone, phenytoin), antibiotics (trimethoprim), nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (aspirin), antidepressants (duloxetine), thyroid medicine (levothyroxine), water pill (hydrochlorothiazide), high cholesterol-lowering medicine (cholestyramine), iron supplement (ferrous sulphate), anti-inflammatory drug (sulfasalazine), anticancer drug (fluorouracil).

Drug-Food Interaction: Inform your doctor if you are taking zinc supplements or medicines containing zinc.  

Drug-Disease Interaction: If you have cancer, pernicious anaemia (anaemia due to lack of vitamin B12), high calcium or vitamin D levels, electrolyte imbalance, kidney or heart disease, tumour or if you are receiving a stent in the heart or undergoing haemodialysis due to kidney failure, inform your doctor before taking Calcidef Tablet 10's.

You are not recommended to take Calcidef Tablet 10's with phenytoin as co-administration of these two medicines may reduce the levels of Calcidef Tablet 10's in blood and increase the risk of seizures (fits).
