Candiderm Cream 15 gm is composed of three medicines: Clotrimazole (antifungal), Gentamicin (antibiotic), and Beclometasone (corticosteroid). Clotrimazole is broad-spectrum 'antifungal' medication. It stops fungi's growth by causing damage and leakage to the fungal cell membrane to lose its essential components. Gentamicin belongs to the class of 'aminoglycoside antibiotics' it kills bacteria by disrupting its ability to produce essential proteins for its growth. Beclometasone belongs to the class of corticosteroids. It blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy. Beclometasone effectively treats inflammation and itchiness caused by eczema and psoriasis.
