Candifem Vaginal Tablet 6's belongs to the class of medicines called antifungals. It is used for the treatment of vaginal infections in both male and female populations. In male patients, it is used in treating Balanitis and Trichomonial infections. On the other hand, in female patients, this medicine helps in treating vaginal candidiasis and Bacterial vaginosis. Balanitis is a condition causing inflammation and pain at the foreskin and head of the penis. Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by a parasite called Trichomonas vaginalis. Vaginal candidiasis is caused by the fungus Candida albicans, a vaginal yeast infection. Bacterial vaginosis is caused by the change in the normal balance of vaginal bacteria.
Candifem Vaginal Tablet 6's contains Ornidazole and miconazole. Ornidazole is an antibiotic that kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging the DNA. Miconazole is an antifungal medicine that stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their protective covering. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

Balanitis: is a condition causing painful inflammation and redness of the penile head and foreskin, usually occurring in an uncircumcised penis. This mainly occurs due to bacterial or fungal infections, improper hygiene, or sexually transmitted diseases. Symptoms may include irritation around the penile glans, soreness and pain in the penis, difficulty in urination, and inflammation.
