About Canfree-Kit

Canfree-Kit belongs to a class of medication called anti-infectives used to treat various fungal and bacterial infections. Also, Canfree-Kit may be used to treat infections such as giardiasis and amoebiasis (stomach infections), and trichomoniasis (genital infection) caused by protozoa. Fungal infection is a disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and causes infection. Fungal infections may affect the skin and spread into bones, tissues, organs, or the whole body. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly.

Canfree-Kit is a combination of two drugs, namely: Fluconazole (antifungal) and Tinidazole (antiprotozoal). The fungal cell membranes are essential for their survival as they prevent the entry of unwanted substances into the cells and stop the leakage of cell contents. Fluconazole belongs to the class of antifungals that works by damaging the fungal cell membranes and killing fungi. Tinidazole belongs to the class of antiprotozoals that works by damaging the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria and protozoa and inhibits the formation of new DNA. Thereby, killing micro-organisms and clearing the infection.

Take Canfree-Kit as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Canfree-Kit for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, headache, skin rash or itching, loss of appetite, stomach pain, or cramps. Most of these side effects of Canfree-Kit do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects worsen or persist, please consult your doctor.

If you have adrenal insufficiency (adrenal glands do not produce sufficient amounts of steroid hormones), abnormal levels of calcium, magnesium, or potassium, a blood disorder, fits, kidney, liver, or heart problems inform your doctor before taking Canfree-Kit. Avoid taking Canfree-Kit with erythromycin, pimozide, cisapride, quinidine, terfenadine, and astemizole as it may cause adverse effects.

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Regularly change your socks and wash your feet. Avoid shoes that make your feet sweaty and hot.
  • In wet places such as changing rooms and gym showers, don’t walk on barefoot. Wear flip-flops or sandals to prevent fungal infections.
  • Do not scratch the affected area of skin as it can spread the infection to other body parts.
  • Avoid sharing towels, combs, bedsheets, shoes or socks with others to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Wash your bed sheets and towels regularly.
  • Avoiding getting in contact with harsh soaps, detergents and rough fabrics.
  • Include fiber rich foods, as it can be easily digested by your gut bacteria, which helps stimulate their growth. Thus, fiber rich foods may help restore healthy gut bacteria after a course of antibiotics. Whole grains such as brown rice, whole grain bread should be included in your diet.
  • Make sure you drink plenty of water or other fluids every day while you are taking Canfree-Kit.
  • Avoid alcohol consumption as it may increase adverse effects.
