About Cano 500mg Vaginal Pessary

Cano 500mg Vaginal Pessary belongs to the class of medications known as antifungals, primarily used to treat vaginal thrush (candidiasis). Vaginal thrush (candidiasis) is an infection of the vagina and/or vulva caused by candida.

Cano 500mg Vaginal Pessary comprises clotrimazole that works by destroying the fungus that causes the infection. Cano 500mg Vaginal Pessary eliminates the infection by causing holes in the fungal cell membrane and allows the components to leak out, thus killing the fungus.

Use Cano 500mg Vaginal Pessary as recommended by the physician. In some cases, Cano 500mg Vaginal Pessary may cause abdominal pain, vulvovaginal pain, nausea, and application site reactions including itching, burning sensation, and irritation. These side effects of Cano 500mg Vaginal Pessary eventually subside without medical intervention. Consult your doctor immediately if any side effects worsen or persist.

Do not use Cano 500mg Vaginal Pessary if you are hypersensitive or allergic to any of its components. Cano 500mg Vaginal Pessary is for vaginal use only. Do not swallow. Directions for Use

Vaginal cream/gel: Please read the instruction leaflet before using it. Take the advised amount of cream/gel and apply gently with a clean hand or an applicator on the affected area. Wash your hands before and after the application. Your doctor will provide more information on usage and dosing.Vaginal tablet/capsule/pessaries: Clean and dry the vaginal area before using the medicine. Lie on your back and gently insert the vaginal tablet/capsule/pessaries into your vagina, as mentioned in the instruction leaflet.Vaginal Suppository: Clean and dry the vaginal area before using. Lie on your back and gently insert it into your vagina using the applicator provided by the pack. Wash your hands before and after use.

  • Shower regularly and properly dry yourself before clothing.
  • Take warm baths with mild soap.
  • Don't share your bedding, towels, or clothes.
  • Wearing tights or tight underwear is not recommended.
  • Do not scratch the infected area. Scratching the infected skin area may spread the illness to other body parts.
  • Avoid harsh soaps and deodorants or any other products.
  • Avoid intercourse till the thrush has been treated.
  • Limit or cut down your consumption of alcohol and caffeine.
  • Reduce your intake of sugar, yeast, refined carbohydrates, and mouldy foods.
