Carmizyme Tablet 10's contains digestive enzymes. It is primarily used to treat digestive disorders. Generally, indigestion or stomach upset can occur from various factors such as food allergy, overeating, greasy or spicy food consumption, and some medicines. Carmizyme Tablet 10's helps in treating conditions such as dyspepsia (indigestion), loss of appetite, flatulence (gas), and abdominal distention (bloating and swelling in the stomach area). Indigestion/dyspepsia can be defined as the inability to digest food that is associated with pain and discomfort in the stomach.

Carmizyme Tablet 10's is a combination medicine containing Pancreatin (digestive enzyme), Simethicone and Activated charcoal (antiflatulent). Pancreatin works by breaking down or digesting proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. Simethicone works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating the expulsion of gas through burping. Activated Charcoal helps to reduce the volume of intestinal gas and produces relief. 

Carmizyme Tablet 10's is generally safe for use. It rarely causes side effects like nausea, constipation, diarrhoea, and abdominal pain. These effects resolve over time. However, if these side effects worsen, please consult your doctor. Carmizyme Tablet 10's should be given as advised by your doctor. Do not give more than the prescribed dose of Carmizyme Tablet 10's. This medicine should be given with food. Your doctor will decide the dose of the medicine.

Carmizyme Tablet 10's should be avoided if you are allergic to any of the components present in the formulation. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition, including medical history, to rule out any side effects/interactions. Before taking, let your doctor know about your ongoing medications, including OTC (over-the-counter) medicines, vitamins and herbal supplements. Avoid taking Carmizyme Tablet 10's if you are allergic to any of the components present in the formulation. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition, including medical history, to rule out any side effects/interactions. It is advised not to take other medicines for at least 2 hours after taking Carmizyme Tablet 10's, as this medicine may stop other medicines from getting into the body.  Before taking, let your doctor know about the complete medication history, including OTC (over-the-counter) medicines, vitamins and herbal supplements. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding before taking Carmizyme Tablet 10's. This medicine is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age unless prescribed by your paediatrician.

• Eat foods that are rich in probiotics, such as yoghurt/curd, buttermilk, natto, and cheese.
• Try to add fibre-rich food like whole grains, beans, lentils, berries, broccoli, peas, and bananas to your daily diet, which helps aid digestion.
• Avoid eating too much, eating too fast, and eating high-fat foods, which can burden your stomach.
• Eat small meals at regular intervals so that the stomach does not have to work. Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.  
• Maintain a healthy weight by regular exercising.

Dyspepsia: Also called indigestion, is defined as the inability to digest food that is associated with pain and discomfort in the stomach. Symptoms may include bloating, abdominal pain, burning sensation in the stomach, gas, and belching.

Flatulence: Also known as farting, it is defined as the build-up of gas in the digestive system that can lead to abdominal discomfort and distress. Symptoms may include abdominal discomfort, passing gas, rumbling in the lower abdomen, etc.

Abdominal distention: It is the condition caused due to swelling of the abdomen, which is characterized due to air/gas or fluid collection.
