Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. Cefacor 100 Dry Syrup does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.

Cefacor 100 Dry Syrup contains 'Cefpodoxime', which is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Cefacor 100 Dry Syrup works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering (cell wall), which is necessary for their survival. Thereby, Cefacor 100 Dry Syrup kills the bacteria and helps in treating bacterial infections.

In some cases, Cefacor 100 Dry Syrup may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea (watery or loose stool), and abdominal pain. Do not give Cefacor 100 Dry Syrup to the child if they are allergic to any of its components. Inform the doctor if your child is allergic to penicillin antibiotics or has kidney problems.
