Clomic M Cream 20 gm

Clomic M Cream 20 gm is a dermatological combination medication used to reduce swelling, itching, and redness caused due to certain fungal skin infections. Fungal infection is a skin disease in which a fungus attacks the skin tissue and causes infection. Fungal infections may be contagious (spread from one person to another).

Clomic M Cream 20 gm contains Clobetasol (corticosteroid) and Miconazole (antifungal). Clobetasol belongs to the class of corticosteroids that works by acting inside skin cells and inhibits the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. When the skin reacts to any allergens, such chemicals are released normally. The fungal cell membranes are essential for their survival as they prevent the entry of unwanted substances into the cells and stop the leakage of cell contents. On the other hand, Miconazole belongs to the class of antifungals that works by causing holes in the fungal cell membranes and kills fungi.

Clomic M Cream 20 gm is only for external use. Use Clomic M Cream 20 gm as advised by the doctor. Avoid contact of Clomic M Cream 20 gm with nose, ears, mouth, or eyes. In case Clomic M Cream 20 gm comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. Some people may experience dry skin, itching, irritation, redness, or burning sensation at the site of application. Most of these side effects of Clomic M Cream 20 gm do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Clomic M Cream 20 gm or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or a nursing mother, it is advised to consult a doctor before using Clomic M Cream 20 gm. Do not use Clomic M Cream 20 gm in more than prescribed doses, or for a prolonged time as it may cause adverse effects. Do not wrap or cover the treated area with bandages unless advised by your doctor.  Avoid using Clomic M Cream 20 gm for more than 5 days in children and on the face. Do not apply Clomic M Cream 20 gm to broken skin or cuts. Do not swallow Clomic M Cream 20 gm. In case of accidental swallowing, contact a nearby poison control center or consult a doctor immediately. Avoid smoking or going near naked flames as Clomic M Cream 20 gm catches fire and burns easily. If you have glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes, psoriasis, adrenal gland, or liver problems, inform your doctor before taking Clomic M Cream 20 gm.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Clomic M Cream 20 gm may interact with anticoagulants/blood thinner (warfarin, dicumarol, anisindione).

Drug-Food Interaction: Inform your doctor if you are taking any herbal supplements, vitamins or OTC medicines.

Drug-Disease Interaction: If you have glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes, psoriasis, adrenal gland or liver problems, inform your doctor before taking Clomic M Cream 20 gm.

• Regularly change your socks and wash your feet. Avoid shoes that make your feet sweaty and hot.
• In wet places such as changing rooms and gym showers, don’t walk on barefoot to prevent fungal infections.
• Do not scratch the affected area of skin as it can spread the infection to other body parts.
• Avoid sharing towels, combs, bedsheets, shoes or socks with others.
• Wash your bed sheets and towels regularly.

Avoid contact of Clomic M Cream 20 gm with nose, mouth or eyes. In case Clomic M Cream 20 gm comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly.
