Crabmin 100 Injection belongs to the class of 'antibiotics', primarily used to treat bacterial infections. Bacterial infection occurs when harmful bacteria grow in the body and causes illness. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. 

Crabmin 100 Injection contains 'Minocycline, a tetracycline antibiotic.' It works by preventing the synthesis of bacterial proteins, the primary cursors for carrying out bacteria's vital functions. This process further inhibits bacterial growth.

Crabmin 100 Injection will be administered by a healthcare professional. Common side effects of Crabmin 100 Injection include stomach upset, tinnitus/ringing in the ear, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness, light-headedness, pain, redness, and swelling at the injection site. Use of Crabmin 100 Injection during tooth development (the last half of pregnancy, infancy, and childhood under the age of 8 years) may cause permanent discolouration of the teeth. Crabmin 100 Injection may cause light-headedness; hence avoid or limit alcohol consumption. Crabmin 100 Injection is not recommended in children below eight years of age.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Crabmin 100 Injection may interact with anticoagulants, drugs treating skin diseases (acitretin, isotretinoin), antibiotics (penicillin), anaesthetic agents (methoxyflurane), oral contraceptives, antacids, and iron supplements. 

Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid dairy products and alcohol while using Crabmin 100 Injection.

Drug-Disease Interaction: Before taking Crabmin 100 Injection, let your doctor know if you have any liver or kidney diseases and allergic reactions to tetracycline antibiotics or other medicines.

• Wash your hands often to maintain cleanliness.
• Avoid sharing personal items like shaving razors.
• Include whole-grain foods like multigrain bread and brown rice in your diet. 
• Taking probiotics after an antibiotic treatment reduces the risk of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. Try taking yoghurt, cheese, sauerkraut, and kimchi that help restore the intestine's good bacteria.
• Include more fibre-enriched food in your diet that is easily digested by gut bacteria. Fibre foods may also help restore healthy gut bacteria after a course of antibiotics. 
• Avoid intake of alcoholic beverages as it can make you dehydrated and affect your sleep. 
• Manage stress, eat healthily, drink plenty of water, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep. 

• Renal, hepatic, and blood function tests are advised during prolonged therapy to rule out any toxicity caused due to overdose of Crabmin 100 Injection. 
• Crabmin 100 Injection may interfere with certain laboratory tests like urine catecholamine levels; hence inform your doctor beforehand that you are using Crabmin 100 Injection before undergoing any examinations.
• Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea (CDAD) is reported during the usage of antibiotics like Minocycline. Please consult your doctor if you experience prolonged diarrhoea.
