Cystofert Tablet 10's is a nutritional supplement used to treat polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Polycystic ovary/ovarian syndrome is a hormonal disorder that causes enlarged ovaries with numerous small follicles. Symptoms include irregular periods, excess hair growth, acne, and obesity.
Cystofert Tablet 10's consists of Folic acid, Inositol (D-Chiro Inositol), and Myo-inositol. Folic acid improves fertility and reduces the risk of anovulation (absence of ovulation process). Inositol is a vitamin (vitamin B8) like substance. It decreases blood glucose levels and improves the ovulation process in women with PCOS. Myo-inositol improves insulin sensitivity (body cells utilize insulin effectively to produce glucose), restores the ovulation process and enhances the egg quality.
Your doctor will decide the dose and duration based on your medical condition. The common side effects of Cystofert Tablet 10's include stomach upset, stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea, dizziness, headache, and tiredness. Although not everyone experiences these side effects, if they occur, please seek medical attention.
