FAQs

D Blok M 50 Tablet contains Metoprolol and Cilnidipine. Metoprolol helps to relax our blood vessels by preventing the function of certain natural compounds in our bodies. It helps to slow down the heart rate, making it easier to pump more blood around your body and lower blood pressure. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker that inhibits the activity of calcium channels in blood vessels in the heart. As a result, the blood arteries dilate, and the heart's supply rises, lowering the high blood pressure and the heart's workload. Both help to lower blood pressure and the likelihood of having a heart attack or stroke in the future.

Usually, D Blok M 50 Tablet is prescribed for a long term treatment ranging from weeks to months for treating heart-related conditions and disorders. Disease/Condition Glossary

Hypertension: The blood exerts increased pressure on the walls of blood vessels leading to hypertension. High blood pressure is expressed as systolic/diastolic pressure. Systolic pressure is the pressure in the arteries when the heart beats or pumps out blood. Diastolic pressure is the pressure in the arteries between the heartbeats. Blood pressure is measured in millimetres of mercury (mmHg) by a blood pressure monitor called a sphygmomanometer. Some of the symptoms are headache, dizziness, nosebleeds, altered vision, chest pain, weakness, and shortness of breath. However, most of the time, the signs and symptoms of hypertension are none.
