About Doxisia Capsule 10's

Doxisia Capsule 10's belongs to the class of ‘antibiotic’ in combination with a ‘probiotic', primarily used to treat bacterial infections of the chest, lungs, nasal cavities (bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis), kidneys and bladder infections (cystitis, urethritis), skin infections (acne), and other infections like malaria, cholera, brucellosis (infection due to unpasteurised products), leptospirosis (infection caused by animals’ urine) and psittacosis (infection from parrots). Bacterial infection occurs when harmful bacteria grow in the body and causes illness. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly.

Doxisia Capsule 10's contains 'Doxycycline' (antibiotic) and Lactobacillus acidophilus (probiotic). Doxycycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. It works by preventing the synthesis of bacterial proteins, which are the primary cursors for carrying out bacteria's vital functions. This process further inhibits bacterial growth. Lactobacillus acidophilus is a probiotic that helps restore good bacteria and reduce stomach upset and diarrhoea caused by antibiotics like Doxycycline.

Do not use Doxisia Capsule 10's while having vaccinations with live bacterial vaccines (typhoid vaccine) since Doxycycline may affect vaccines' activity. It is advised to consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking Doxisia Capsule 10's. Doxisia Capsule 10's is not recommended in children below eight years of age since it causes permanent tooth discolouration.
