Allergy is the response of the body to a foreign substance.
Ebonext Tablet 10's contains 'Ebastine' that works by blocking the effect of histamine (chemical messenger) which is responsible for allergic reactions, thereby providing relief from allergic symptoms such as swelling, itching, rashes, sneezing, runny nose and watery eyes.
You are advised to take Ebonext Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, Ebonext Tablet 10's may cause common side-effects such as dry mouth, headache, and drowsiness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Do not take Ebonext Tablet 10's if you are allergic to any of its contents. Talk to your doctor before taking Ebonext Tablet 10's if you have heart disease such as ECG alteration (prolongation of QT interval). Take Ebonext Tablet 10's with caution if you have low levels of potassium in the blood. Avoid consuming Ebonext Tablet 10's along with erythromycin (antibiotics) and ketoconazole (anti-fungal) as it might lead to higher levels of Ebonext Tablet 10's in the blood leading to toxicity. Ebonext Tablet 10's works by blocking the effect of histamine (chemical messenger) which is responsible for the allergic reactions, thereby provides relief from allergic symptoms such as swelling, itching, rashes, sneezing, runny nose and watery eyes.
Ebonext Tablet 10's causes dizziness and drowsiness. So, drive only if you are alert and omit driving or operating machinery if you feel dizzy or drowsy.
Ebonext Tablet 10's may cause dry mouth. Limiting caffeine intake, avoiding smoking and mouthwashes containing alcohol, drinking water regularly, and chewing sugar-free gum/candy might help in stimulating saliva and thereby prevents drying of the mouth.
Ebonext Tablet 10's is generally prescribed for short-term use. Nevertheless, continue taking Ebonext Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it to you to avoid recurring symptoms. Do not be reluctant to speak with your doctor if you experience any difficulty while taking Ebonext Tablet 10's.
It is generally safe to take Ebonext Tablet 10's for up to 7 days in patients with mild to moderately impaired liver function. However, do not take Ebonext Tablet 10's if you have severely impaired liver function. Consult your doctor if you have any concerns.
Do not overdose on Ebonext Tablet 10's or any medicine as it could lead to unpleasant side-effects. Take Ebonext Tablet 10's only as prescribed by your doctor. Rush to your nearest doctor as early as possible if you have overdosed on Ebonext Tablet 10's. Monitoring vital body functions, ECG monitoring for at least 24 hours, gastric lavage and symptomatic treatment may be necessary.
