About Eclospan Cream 15 gm

Eclospan Cream 15 gm is a combination medicine used to treat bacterial and fungal skin infections. It may also be indicated in eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, and nail infections. Bacterial skin infection occurs when bacteria enter the body through broken skin. Fungal skin infection is a disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and causes infection.

Eclospan Cream 15 gm contains Beclomethasone (steroid), Miconazole (anti-fungal), and Neomycin (antibiotic). Miconazole works by preventing the formation of fungal protective covering and stops fungal growth. Beclomethasone works by inhibiting the release of chemical messengers that cause inflammation and redness. Neomycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis and kills bacteria. Together, Eclospan Cream 15 gm helps in treating skin infections.

In some cases, Eclospan Cream 15 gm may cause side effects such as a burning sensation, irritation, and itching at the site of application. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use Eclospan Cream 15 gm in more than prescribed doses or on a large area of skin for a longer duration. Avoid wrapping or covering the treated area with a bandage unless advised by your doctor. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any side effects/interactions.
