About Ediquit Tablet
Ediquit Tablet is a combination medication that belongs to a class of drugs called 'analgesics' used to relieve musculoskeletal pain in the conditions of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It may also provide relief from acute (short-term) pain such as toothache, ear pain, throat pain, muscle ache, and backache. Pain is caused by damage to the tissues of the muscle and bone for a short time (acute) or long time (chronic).
Ediquit Tablet contains Bromelain, Rutoside trihydrate, Trypsin, and chymotrypsin. Bromelain, Trypsin, and chymotrypsin are enzymes that have antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. They reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation by increasing the blood supply to the affected area. Rutoside trihydrate is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. It prevents further swelling and inflammation by neutralizing the chemicals (free radicals) that cause cell damage.
Take Ediquit Tablet as prescribed. Your doctor will advise you on the duration based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea, rash, or mouth sores. Most of these side effects of Ediquit Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to Ediquit Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Ediquit Tablet should be avoided in patients who are allergic to pineapple, carrot, papaya, fennel, and pollens. Ediquit Tablet is not recommended for pregnant women as it contains Bromelain, which may cause abortion or miscarriage. If you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy, please consult a doctor before taking Ediquit Tablet . Before undergoing any planned surgery, inform your doctor that you are taking Ediquit Tablet .

Disease/Condition Glossary
Pain: Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, causing uncomfortable sensations in the body. It can be temporary (acute) or lifelong (chronic) in nature. Acute pain is for short time caused by damage to the tissues of the muscle, bone, or organs. While chronic pain lasts lifelong and can occur due to severe inflammation or tissue damage, such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Osteoarthritis: It is a joint disease in which the two ends of the joints come together due to the breakdown of a protective covering called cartilage. Due to the absence of this protective covering, the joints rub against each other, leading to pain and stiffness. Symptoms include pain, stiffness, inflammation, and tenderness.
Rheumatoid arthritis: It is an auto-immune disease (the body's immune system attacks its tissue), leading to joint pain and damage. Symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis include pain, swelling, stiffness, deformities, and loss of joint function.
