EPISERT CREA belongs to the group of topical antifungal medications used to treat interdigital tinea pedis. Tinea pedis, also known as Athlete’s foot is a fungal infestation that begins as itching, redness and burning sensation between the toes. The athlete’s foot is called the interdigital tinea pedis as it starts between the digits.

EPISERT CREA is composed of Sertaconazole nitrate that prevents the formation and proliferation of fungal cells by damaging the fungal cell membrane. Thereby, EPISERT CREA treats fungal infections.

EPISERT CREA is meant for topical use only. In some cases, EPISERT CREA may cause certain side effects such as burning sensation, itching, redness and dry skin. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects consistently.

Please inform the doctor if you are allergic to any of its components. Keep your doctor informed of any medications, OTC products, herbs, vitamins or supplements you may be taking, before using EPISERT CREA. Consult the doctor before using EPISERT CREA during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

EPISERT CREA should not be used in case of any known allergy to either of the components. Inform the doctor if you are on any medicines, herbs, supplements or vitamins. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant and breastfeeding. Avoid wearing tight and dark coloured clothing on the affected area after applying EPISERT CREA. Avoid getting EPISERT CREA in your eyes, nostrils or mouth. If contact occurs, rinse with water throughly.

• Keep your toenails short and clipped.

• Avoid using public swimming pools, toilets and foot baths.
• Avoid wearing synthetic socks and closed shoes.
• Use clean towels and toiletries. Avoid sharing personal items.
• Wash hands well with soap and water after playing with pet animals.
