Epiwart Solution 15 ml belongs to a class of drugs called 'keratolytic agents' used to treat skin conditions like warts and remove calluses and corns. Verrucas and warts are small excessive growths of skin that are caused by a virus. Warts occur on the back of hands or fingers whereas verrucas occur only on the sole. Corns and calluses are thick, hard pads of skin caused by friction and pressure that usually occur on the feet due to poor-fitting shoes.
Epiwart Solution 15 ml is a combination of two keratolytic agents, namely: Lactic acid and Salicylic acid. Epiwart Solution 15 ml works by breaking down a skin protein known as keratin and removes dead skin cells, thereby softening skin. Epiwart Solution 15 ml acts as an acid exfoliant that softens and dissolves the keratin. Besides this, it also helps to slow down the shedding of skin, thereby allowing the skin to function longer before flaking off. Thus, Epiwart Solution 15 ml softens and dissolves keratin (skin protein) and prevents acne formation and further bacterial skin infections.
Use Epiwart Solution 15 ml as advised by your doctor. Epiwart Solution 15 ml is only for external use. Warts: These are small excessive growths of skin caused by a virus. Warts occur on the back of hands or fingers whereas verrucas occur only on the sole. Common warts have a rough cauliflower-like appearance on the surface. Verrucas looks like a small white ring of skin with a black dot in the center and is painful. If left untreated, warts and verrucas grow and spread as the virus is highly infectious and can be contagious (spread from person to person).
Corns and calluses: These are thick, hard pads of skin caused by friction and pressure that usually occur on the feet due to poor-fitting shoes. They can also occur on hands.
