Epo E Forte Tablet belongs to the class of medications called 'Nutritional supplements' used to treat skin problems such as acne, eczema, rosacea (redness in cheeks, nose, and forehead), and psoriasis (red plaques covered with silvery scales). It also treats cyclical mastalgia (breast pain) and premenstrual syndrome symptoms like irritability. Skin problems may occur due to a lack of essential fatty acids, which causes hormonal imbalance and may lead to skin problems like acne, eczema, rosacea, and allergies. On the other hand, mastalgia is breast pain related to the hormonal fluctuations associated with the cyclical, related to menstrual cycle, or non-cyclical.

Epo E Forte Tablet contains Tocopherol (vitamin E) and Primerose oil. Tocopherol (vitamin E) is a fat-soluble vitamin that acts as an antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties. It helps nourish and protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals. Primerose oil, extracted from the seed of evening primrose oil, plays an important role in regulating hormones and promoting skin elasticity. Primerose oil works by reducing skin inflammation and the number of skin cells that cause lesions. It may also help the skin retain moisture, elasticity, firmness, and fatigue resistance. Together, Epo E Forte Tablet is used to treat skin problems like acne, eczema, rosacea, cyclical mastalgia (breast pain), and premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms such as irritability and bloating.

Take Epo E Forte Tablet as recommended by your doctor. Some people may experience nausea, stomach upset, tiredness, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects of Epo E Forte Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Epo E Forte Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor if you are pregnant or a nursing mother, it is advised to consult a doctor before using Epo E Forte Tablet . Together, Epo E Forte Tablet is used to treat skin problems like acne, eczema, and cyclical mastalgia (breast pain).

Do not use Epo E Forte Tablet if you are allergic to Epo E Forte Tablet or its contents. It is essential to inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding before using Epo E Forte Tablet . Epo E Forte Tablet is not recommended to children unless advised by the doctor.  Let your doctor know if you have a history of blood disorder, seizures (fits), liver disease, kidney disease, or diabetes before using Epo E Forte Tablet . Please inform your doctor if you are using any other medications, including vitamins, and herbal supplements. Primrose oil in Epo E Forte Tablet can affect blood clotting and may increase your risk of bleeding. If you need surgery, dental work, or a medical procedure, stop taking Epo E Forte Tablet at least 2 weeks before surgery.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Epo E Forte Tablet may interact with other drugs painkillers (aspirin, naproxen, diclofenac, ibuprofen, indomethacin), anti-cancer drugs (cisplatin, bortezomib, capecitabine, fluorouracil, altretamine, methotrexate), a drug used to treat obesity (orlistat), bile acid sequestrant (colestyramine, colesevelam, colestipol), blood thinner (anisindione, warfarin, dicumarol), used to treat hyperphosphatemia (sevelamer), anti-depressant (citalopram, amitriptyline, imipramine clomipramine, duloxetine), anti-anxiety (diazepam, lorazepam, clonazepam).

Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid using Epo E Forte Tablet with other herbal/health supplements like angelica, capsicum, clove, danshen, garlic, red clover, and willow that can affect blood clotting.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Before using Epo E Forte Tablet , let your doctor know if have a bleeding or blood clotting disorder, seizures (fits), liver or kidney, and heart diseases.

• Consume an adequate amount of protein. Dietary protein provides essential amino acids that your body can not make on its own and must be consumed daily to maintain muscle, bone, and skin health.
• Exercise regularly, and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Physical activity can strongly influence hormonal health.
• Use mild soap while taking baths and prefer warm baths.
• Avoid harsh products on your skin.
• Do not scratch or pick your skin to avoid infecting the affected area.
• Manage stress, eat healthily, drink plenty of water, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep.
• Avoid or limit the intake of alcohol and caffeine.

Regular check-up with your doctor as primrose oil in Epo E Forte Tablet may increase the chance of seizures in patients with a history of seizures. 

Hormonal Imbalance: Hormones are chemicals that are produced by glands (endocrine system) in the body. An imbalance occurs when there is too much or too little hormone in the body. It can be caused by stress or hormone medications. However, hormonal imbalances can also be caused by any medical condition that impacts or involves the endocrine system or glands. Symptoms of hormonal imbalance include unexplained weight gain or weight loss, changes in sensitivity to cold and heat, dehydrated skin or skin rashes, brittle or weak bones, changes in blood sugar concentration, breast tenderness, etc.

Mastalgia (breast pain): is breast pain that is related to the hormonal variations associated with the cyclical and related to the menstrual cycle, or non-cyclical. Normal fibrocystic changes can cause breast pain, swelling, or thick areas. Symptoms include breast tenderness, sharp, burning pain, and tightness in the breast tissue.

Acne vulgaris (acne): Acne is a skin condition caused by hair follicles plugging with oil and dead skin cells. Whiteheads, blackheads, pimples, cysts, and nodules are all types of acne. It commonly occurs in teenagers though all age groups are affected.

Eczema: It is a condition in which skin patches become inflamed, itchy, cracked, and rough.
