About Esoblez D 30mg/40mg Tablet
Esoblez D 30mg/40mg Tablet belongs to a group of gastrointestinal agents used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and stomach ulcers. The stomach is usually protected from acid by a mucous layer. In some cases, due to excess acid production, the mucous layer gets eroded, which leads to complications like GERD, acidity, peptic ulcers and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
Esoblez D 30mg/40mg Tablet is a combination of two drugs: Esomeprazole (proton pump inhibitor) and Domperidone (a dopamine antagonist). Esomeprazole works by blocking an enzyme called gastric proton pump, which is responsible for the production of acid Domperidone works by increasing the movements and contractions of stomach muscle. Together, Esoblez D 30mg/40mg Tablet helps in treating acidity-related problems.
You are advised to take Esoblez D 30mg/40mg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as dry mouth, stomach pain, diarrhoea, headache, and flatulence. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.
Consult your doctor before taking Esoblez D 30mg/40mg Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Esoblez D 30mg/40mg Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Esoblez D 30mg/40mg Tablet should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol and Esoblez D 30mg/40mg Tablet as it could lead to increased drowsiness and elevate stomach acid production. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medicines to rule out any side-effects.
