Evalon 1 mg Tablet 30's belongs to a group of medicines called hormones indicated for hormone replacement therapy in menopausal women. It helps relieve menopausal symptoms like vaginal dryness, itching, and irritation occurring due to a shortage of estrogen in the body.  

Evalon 1 mg Tablet 30's contains ‘estriol’, which works by replacing the hormone, thereby helping relieve menopausal symptoms like vaginal dryness, itching, and irritation.

Evalon 1 mg Tablet 30's should be taken as advised by your doctor. The dose and duration of this medicine will be decided by the doctor based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain side effects such as headache, nausea, flu-like symptoms, breast discomfort and pain. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Evalon 1 mg Tablet 30's is intended for use in post-menopausal women only; let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol consumption while on treatment with Evalon 1 mg Tablet 30's. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it.

• Headache
• Nausea 
• Flu-like symptoms
• Breast discomfort and pain
• Swelling of the ankles or feet
• Vaginal irritation, bleeding, itching, and discharge

Do not take Evalon 1 mg Tablet 30's if you are allergic to it or if you have breast/womb/ovary cancer, unexplained/unusual vaginal bleeding, womb problems (thickening of the womb lining), blood clot disorders, recent stroke, liver disease, or porphyria (an inherited disorder that causes nerve or skin problems). Inform your doctor if you have endometriosis (abnormal growth of tissues outside the womb), womb tumours, high blood pressure, diabetes, gall bladder disease, migraine, epilepsy/fits/seizures, asthma, systemic lupus erythematosus (an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation), otosclerosis (hearing disorder due to growth of bone in the inner ear), or heart/kidney/liver problems. Let your doctor know if you are taking any prescription/non-prescription medicines or herbal/vitamin supplements.

• Include foods such as soybeans, flax seeds, and soy products in the diet.
• Maintain a healthy weight by exercising regularly. Also, avoid exercising too much. Do it moderately.
• Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
• Try to limit alcohol and caffeine.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT): It is a treatment that replaces/boost hormones that are at a low level and helps relieve symptoms of menopause such as night sweats, hot flushes, vaginal dryness, mood swings, and reduced sex drive.
