Felbimax Gel

Felbimax Gel belongs to the class of 'non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs' primarily used to relieve pain and inflammation in the joints (arthralgia) and muscles. Felbimax Gel is also used to relieve pain in ankylosing spondylitis, soft tissue injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, causing uncomfortable sensations in the body. Ankylosing spondylitis is a type of arthritis that affects the spine and large joints.

Felbimax Gel consists of Felbinac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (pain killer/NSAID) that relieves pain. It inhibits cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes and further prevents the formation of chemical messengers, 'prostaglandins' (PGs), that cause pain and swelling at the injured or damaged site. 

Your doctor will decide the dose and duration based on the severity of your pain. Common side effects of Felbimax Gel include burning sensation at the site, redness, itching, numbness, irritation, tingling, prickling, and skin rash. These side effects are not familiar to everyone and vary individually. However, if the side effects are persistent, please reach out to your doctor.

Felbimax Gel is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, lips and mouth, nose, and any damaged skin. Before starting Felbimax Gel, inform your doctor if you have any liver, heart, or kidney diseases, eczema, asthma, and allergic reactions to medicines. If you are using other NSAIDs, please inform your doctor in advance. Felbimax Gel should be used with caution and only if necessary in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Felbimax Gel is not recommended for children. It is better to avoid consuming alcohol while using Felbimax Gel. 

Felbimax Gel is used to relieve pain in the joints and muscles caused by injury or inflammation. It contains Felbinac that is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs) and relieves pain. It inhibits cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that further prevent the formation of chemical messengers called 'prostaglandins' (PGs). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the COX enzyme's effect, lesser PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Felbimax Gel is also used as a coupling agent (a medium that acts as a bond between the skin and the ultrasound transducer) in ultrasound therapy.

Inform your doctor if you have any liver, heart, or kidney diseases, asthma, eczema, and allergic reactions to medicines. Do not take any other NSAIDs for pain relief along with Felbimax Gel unless advised. • Exercising regularly helps in muscle stretching that is less likely to spasm, tear, and sprain. Mild exercises such as jogging and walking are helpful for muscle stretching.
• Massages can also be helpful.
• Avoid freezing and hot temperatures.
• Avoid wearing tight-fitting clothes; instead, wear loose garments.
• Rest well and get plenty of sleep.
• To avoid developing pressure sores, change your position at least every two hours.
• Hot or cold therapy can help treat muscle spasms. Apply an ice-pack or hot-pack on the muscle for 15-20minutes.
• Stay hydrated; drink plenty of water.

Let your doctor know that you are using Felbimax Gel if you are undergoing any medical tests.

Ankylosing spondylitis: It causes pain and stiffness in the spine. The pain usually starts in the lower back and can spread to the neck, damaged joints, or other body parts. Symptoms include decreased flexibility, which usually leads to hunched-forward posture, and pain in the back and joints.
