Feronia D3 Tablet 10's belongs to a class of medicines called 'haematinics' primarily used to prevent and treat anemia (lack of blood) that occurs due to iron deficiency. Also, it is used to treat iron deficiency anaemia during pregnancy and lactation. Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to various body tissues.
Feronia D3 Tablet 10's contains Iron, Folic acid, Cyanocobalamin, Cholecalciferol and Pyridoxine. Iron and folic acid work by increasing red blood cells (RBC) and haemoglobin (a protein) production in the body. Cholecalciferol helps iron metabolism and the production of red blood cells. Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) and Cyanocobalamin are essential for the production and maturation of red blood cells.
Take Feronia D3 Tablet 10's as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Feronia D3 Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, constipation, flatulence (gas) and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects of Feronia D3 Tablet 10's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Feronia D3 Tablet 10's may have interaction with anticonvulsants (phenobarbital, primidone, phenytoin, sodium valproate, carbamazepine), antibiotics (chloramphenicol, cotrimoxazole, trimethoprim), antimanic drug (lithium), water tablet (triamterene), anti-inflammatory drug (sulfasalazine), painkillers (aspirin), anticancer drug (methotrexate).
Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid intake of dairy products, coffee or tea with Feronia D3 Tablet 10's at the same time as they may reduce the absorption of Feronia D3 Tablet 10's.
Drug-Disease Interactions: If you have a vitamin B12 deficiency, any blood disorder, ulcerative colitis (inflammation of the colon), pernicious anaemia (anaemia due to lack of vitamin B12) or folate-dependent tumour, inform your doctor before taking Feronia D3 Tablet 10's.
Avoid taking Feronia D3 Tablet 10's along with dairy products, coffee, tea or alcohol.
