About Fluo 1% Cream
Fluo 1% Cream belongs to the group of anti-cancer medicines used to treat skin conditions such as keratosis (growths of skin), some simple skin cancers, keratoacanthoma (a firm nodule on the skin), and Bowen’s disease. It may also be useful in the treatment of superficial basal cell carcinoma.
Fluo 1% Cream contains ‘Fluorouracil’, which works by destroying cancerous and pre-cancerous cells whilst having little effect on the normal cells.
Use Fluo 1% Cream for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, Fluo 1% Cream may cause side effects such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and taste disturbance. Do not be reluctant to talk with your doctor if any of these side effects persist or worsen.
Avoid using Fluo 1% Cream if you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or breastfeeding. Fluo 1% Cream is not recommended for children under 18 years. Do not cover the treated skin with dressings. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any side effects/interactions.

Fluo 1% Cream belongs to the group of anti-cancer medicines used to treat skin conditions, such as some simple skin cancers, keratoacanthoma (a firm nodule on the skin), and Bowen’s disease. It is also indicated in the treatment of multiple actinic or solar keratoses of the face and anterior scalp. It may also be useful in the treatment of superficial basal cell carcinoma. Fluo 1% Cream contains ‘Fluorouracil’, which works by destroying cancerous and pre-cancerous cells whilst having little effect on the normal cells.
Storage
Drug Warnings
Do not use Fluo 1% Cream if you are allergic to any of its components, if you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or if you are breastfeeding. Inform your doctor if you have reduced or no activity of DPD (dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase) enzyme, or if you are using medicines to treat chickenpox or shingles (brivudine, sorivudine) or have used them in the last four weeks. Avoid contact of Fluo 1% Cream with eyes or mouth. Take special care while applying Fluo 1% Cream around the eyelids, nose, or lips. Do not use the cream on open cuts as it can lead to too much absorption of cream into the bloodstream leading to harmful effects. Avoid smoking or going near naked flames as the fabric (clothing, bedding, or dressing) that has been in contact with Fluo 1% Cream burns easily and is a serious fire hazard. Washing the fabric may not totally remove it, but it might reduce product build-up.
