Flutram-MT Tablet is primarily used to treat psychogenic depression, depressive neurosis, psychosomatic affections accompanied by anxiety and apathy, asthenia, menopausal depression, depression in alcoholics and drug addicts. Depression is a mood disorder that affects a person's daily life and is described as feelings of sadness, loss, or anger. Flutram-MT Tablet contains Flupentixol and Melitracen. Flupentixol is an antipsychotic medication that works by inhibiting dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain that influences thoughts and mood. Melitracen is a tricyclic antidepressant that raises the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that aid in mood regulation and the treatment of depression. Thus, Flutram-MT Tablet effectively treats various forms of depression and anxiety.

Take Flutram-MT Tablet as prescribed. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration based on your medical condition. Common side effects of Flutram-MT Tablet  include insomnia, restlessness, agitation, dizziness, tremor, dry mouth, constipation, accommodation disorder and fatigue. If any of these side effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor immediately. 

Do not use Flutram-MT Tablet if you are allergic to any of the components. Seek medical advice if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or breastfeeding. Do not consume alcohol while using Flutram-MT Tablet as there may be an interaction. Flutram-MT Tablet is not recommended for excitable or overactive patients since its activating effect may exaggerate these characteristics. The safety and efficacy of Flutram-MT Tablet in children have not been established. Keep your doctor informed about your medical condition and medications to rule out any negative effects or interactions.

Do not use Flutram-MT Tablet if you are allergic to any of the components. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or breastfeeding. Let your doctor know if you have circulatory collapse (specific failure of the blood circulation), depressed level of consciousness due to any cause (e.g. intoxication with alcohol, opiates or barbiturates), untreated narrow-angle glaucoma, coma, blood disorders, phaeochromocytoma (a small vascular tumour), recent myocardial infarction, any degree of atrioventricular block or disorders of cardiac rhythm and coronary artery insufficiency. Concomitant treatment of Flutram-MT Tablet with MAOIs (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) is contraindicated as it may cause serotonin syndrome (a combination of symptoms, possibly including confusion, agitation, tremor, hyperthermia and myoclonus). Therefore, do not take Flutram-MT Tablet if you are taking MAOIs or have taken them in the past 14 days.

• Include omega-3 fatty acid-rich foods like fish, nuts, fresh fruits and vegetables, and olive oils in your diet.
• Amino acids are the building blocks of neurotransmitters. Include foods high in amino acids, including meat, dairy products, and some fruits and vegetables as they aid in maintaining neurotransmitters.
• Complex carbs such as whole grains, legumes, spinach, broccoli, oranges, and pears aid in the stimulation of serotonin (a feel-good neurotransmitter).
• Exercising helps the body's natural antidepressant synthesis. It also aids in stress relief, mood enhancement, self-esteem enhancement, and comfortable sleep.
• Avoid smoking and drinking alcohol.
• Learn about your medical condition, be aware of the risk factors, and stick to your doctor's treatment plan.
