Folisan Tablet 15's

Folisan Tablet 15's belongs to the class of 'multivitamins', primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies. Nutritional deficiency occurs when the body is unable to absorb or get enough nutrients from food. It could lead to various health problems, including defective bone growth, skin disorders, digestive issues, and dementia (memory loss). 

Folisan Tablet 15's contains L-Methylfolate, Pyridoxal-5-phosphate and Mecobalamin. L-Methylfolate helps in producing new blood cells and prevents low folate levels. Pyridoxal-5-phosphate is involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism, the formation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters. Mecobalamin regulates body functions, such as cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis. 

Your doctor will decide the duration based on your medical condition. Sometimes, Folisan Tablet 15's may cause common side effects like nausea, stomach upset, and diarrhoea. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. Please consult your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Let your doctor know if you use any other medicines or herbal products before starting Folisan Tablet 15's. If you are allergic to Folisan Tablet 15's or its inactive components, please inform your doctor. If you are a pregnant or breastfeeding mother, please consult your doctor before taking Folisan Tablet 15's. This supplement should not be given to children unless advised by a doctor. It is not known if alcohol interacts with Folisan Tablet 15's, so consult a doctor if you have any concerns.

Folisan Tablet 15's is used to treat nutritional deficiencies. It contains L-Methylfolate, Pyridoxal-5-phosphate and Mecobalamin. L-Methylfolate helps the formation of red blood cells and prevents DNA changes that may lead to cancer. It prevents and treats folate deficiency. Pyridoxal-5-phosphate (vitamin B6) is involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism, the formation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters. It helps in cognitive development through the biosynthesis of neurotransmitters and maintains normal homocysteine levels (an amino acid in the blood). Mecobalamin (Methylcobalamin) regulates body functions like cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis.

Inform your doctor if you have malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food) before starting Folisan Tablet 15's. Let your doctor know if you have any blood disorders like pernicious anaemia before starting Folisan Tablet 15's. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Folisan Tablet 15's. Drinking alcohol may hinder the nutrients' absorption; therefore, it is advised to limit the alcohol intake while using Folisan Tablet 15's. Keep Folisan Tablet 15's away from direct sunlight. Do not store Folisan Tablet 15's above 25ºC

Drug-Drug Interaction: Folisan Tablet 15's may interact with anti-cancer drugs (altretamine) and fits medicines (phenytoin).

Drug-Food Interaction: Please avoid alcohol while using Folisan Tablet 15's to ensure maximum absorption of nutrients.

Drug-Disease Interaction: Use Folisan Tablet 15's with medical advice if you have malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food), heart/kidney/liver/blood vessel diseases, and allergic reactions to medicines.

• Try Vitamin B complex food sources like milk, cheese, eggs, chicken, red meat, tuna, mackerel, salmon, shellfish, oysters, clams, dark green vegetables such as spinach and kale, beets, avocados, potatoes, whole grains, cereals, kidney beans, black beans, and chickpea.
• Try folate-rich food sources like broccoli, Brussels sprouts, leafy green vegetables, cabbage, kale, spring greens, spinach, peas, chickpeas, kidney beans, and breakfast cereals fortified with folic acid.
• Sprinkle sunflower seeds over your food, vegetables and salads. 
• Include fruits like citrus, banana, and watermelon in your diet.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Exercise regularly and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Avoid excess fatty foods.

• Clinical monitoring of vitamins B12 and B6 levels through blood examinations is recommended. 
• Let your doctor and the laboratory staff know if you are using Folisan Tablet 15's since Pyridoxal-5-phosphate may interfere with laboratory tests like urine tests for urobilinogen.
