About Folmet NM Tablet 10's

Folmet NM Tablet 10's belongs to a class of 'nutritional supplements,' primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies and anaemia (lack of red blood cells) caused due to lack of folic acid. Nutritional deficiency occurs when the body is unable to absorb or get enough nutrients from food.

Folmet NM Tablet 10's contains Folic acid and Tri-Methylglycine (Betaine). Folic acid helps in the formation of red blood cells and prevents DNA changes that may lead to cancer. Tri-Methylglycine is an amino acid derivative that helps treat hyperhomocysteinemia (high levels of homocysteine, an amino acid) caused due to low folate levels.

Your doctor will decide the duration based on your medical condition. In some cases, Folmet NM Tablet 10's may cause side effects like nausea, diarrhoea, and stomach upset. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

Brief your medical history to the doctor if you have any heart/kidney/liver diseases before starting Folmet NM Tablet 10's. It is essential to let your doctor know if you are a pregnant or breastfeeding mother before using Folmet NM Tablet 10's. It is advised to limit alcohol intake to avail maximum benefits of Folmet NM Tablet 10's. Folmet NM Tablet 10's should be given to a child only when advised by a doctor.

Medicinal Benefits

It prevents and treats anaemia and folate deficiency. Tri-Methylglycine is an amino acid derivative that helps treat hyperhomocysteinemia caused due to low folate levels. It also improves overall athletic performance.

Storage

Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight

Drug Warnings

Let your doctor know if you are allergic to any of the components of Folmet NM Tablet 10's. Brief your medical history to the doctor if you have any heart/kidney/liver diseases or high cholesterol levels before starting Folmet NM Tablet 10's. Disease/Condition Glossary

Nutritional deficiencies: A nutritional deficiency occurs when the body does not absorb or get enough nutrients from food. Vitamins and minerals are necessary for body development and the prevention of diseases. Nutrient deficiency can lead to many health problems like a weakened immune system, skin problems, digestion problems, defective bone growth, and neurological diseases.

Anaemia: It is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to various body tissues. It makes you feel tired very quickly due to a lack of oxygen supply in the body. It is one of the most common blood disorders. Symptoms include fatigue, shortness of breath, light-headedness, dizziness, fast heartbeat, brittle nails, and pale skin.
