Futoz-M Cream

Futoz-M Cream contains Fluticasone propionate and mupirocin. Futoz-M Cream is used in the treatment of skin infections. Fluticasone topical is used to reduce inflammation and relieve itching, redness, dryness and scaling associated with various skin conditions, whereas mupirocin kills bacteria by destroying the bacterial cell membrane.

Futoz-M Cream is a combination  of fluticasone dipropionate and mupirocin. Fluticasone propionate blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Mupirocin works by stopping the production of necessary proteins needed for bacterial surveillance. It is also active against Gram-negative organisms such as Escherichia coli and Haemophilus influenza. It is not effective against fungal or viral infections.

Futoz-M Cream should only be taken if advised by your doctor.  This cream should not be used on children below 2 months of age. Futoz-M Cream should be used for skin only, and accidentally if it gets into your eye, mouth or nose, rinse with water. Futoz-M Cream should be applied to the affected area with a piece of clean cotton wool or gauze swab. Futoz-M Cream should not be applied more than the recommended dose to avoid unpleasant side effects.  Some common side effects of Futoz-M Cream are burning, itching, redness, stinging and dryness on your skin in the place where Futoz-M Cream ointment is applied. Sensitive, allergic reactions (skin hypersensitivity reactions) like rashes, itching, swelling, and shortness of breath can occur in rare cases. Please consult your doctor if an allergic reaction becomes severe.

Tell your doctor if you are known to be allergic to Futoz-M Cream or any other medicines. It is unknown whether Futoz-M Cream harms the baby or passes into breast milk in pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is better to contact a doctor before using Futoz-M Cream during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. If nursing mothers apply Futoz-M Cream to their breasts or nipple, they should wash the affected area thoroughly before nursing their babies. Do not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects. Inform your doctor if the treated skin area does not improve after 2-4 weeks of treatment.

Be sure to mention the other topical medicines used by you to your doctor. Plan to avoid unnecessary or prolonged exposure to sunlight and wear protective clothing, sunglasses, and sunscreen if you use fluticasone lotion. Futoz-M Cream should be stopped if irritation, severe itching or skin rash occurs. Contact your doctor if no improvement is observed in 3-5 days. Futoz-M Cream should be used with caution in children less than 2 months of age. Prolonged use of Futoz-M Cream may result in the overgrowth of fungi. Rinse with water in case Futoz-M Cream accidentally enters your nose, eyes, or mouth. Futoz-M Cream topical is for use only on the skin. Do not apply on the burnt skin or open cut wound. inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding women before taking Futoz-M Cream.

• Avocados are also a good source of vitamin E, which is an important antioxidant that helps protect your skin from oxidative damage.
• Avoid oily and fried foods
• drink more water which keeps your skin hydrated.

• Futoz-M Cream must be applied as a thin layer on the affected area as prescribed by your doctor.
• Do not use this medicine more often or longer than your doctor advises.
• Before each application, wash the affected area with soap and water and dry well. 
• Avoid getting it in the eyes, mouth or nose. Rinse with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas
• Do not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
