Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet is a combination of medicine that belongs to the class of medicines known as ‘anticonvulsant'. It is primarily used for the treatment of neuropathic pain. Neuropathic pain is a chronic nerve pain usually caused by damaged nerves due to a variety of diseases like diabetes, shingles (viral infection that causes a painful rash) or spinal cord injury, injuries to tissue, muscles or joints.

Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet contains four medicines namely Pregabalin, Mecobalamin, Folic acid and Pyridoxine. Pregabalin works by calming the damaged or overactive nerves in your body that may cause nerve or musculoskeletal pain or seizures. Besides this, it also decreases the number of pain signals sent out by damaged nerves in the body. Mecobalamin and pyridoxine both are forms of vitamin B and helps in the reconstruction and protection of damaged nerve cells by producing a substance called myelin. A folic acid is also a form of vitamin B that helps in providing essential nutrients to the nerves. Together, Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet helps in providing relief from neuropathic (damage nerve) pain.

Take Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical conditions. You may experience dizziness, tiredness, sleepiness and uncoordinated body movements. Most of these side effects of Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed. Please do not stop taking Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet without consulting your doctor as it could cause withdrawal symptoms. Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet should not be given to children as safety and effectiveness have not been established. Do not take Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet causes drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet as it could lead to increased dizziness and sleepiness. Do not take Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet if you are allergic to any of its contents. Inform your doctor before taking Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet if you have or had heart problems or bipolar syndrome. Please do not stop taking Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet without consulting your doctor as it could cause withdrawal symptoms. Do not take Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet causes drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. • Meditation and yoga can help lower stress, decrease pain sensitivity and improves coping skills.
• Acupuncture can be helpful by stimulating pressure points.
• Using essential oils for massages can help increase circulation.

•  You are recommended not to stop Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet suddenly, without consulting with your doctor.
• Inform your doctor about any addictions as Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet may cause dependence, especially in patients who are chronic alcohol users or in patients who have used other recreational drugs in the past. Report the past use of alcohol or other drugs to the doctor before receiving Gabaxia-75 SR Tablet .

Neuropathic pain: Neuropathic pain is caused due to damage to sensory nerves. It is caused by chronic progressive nerve disease or due to infection or injury. The pain could be intermittent or continuous, which is felt as a prickling, stabbing, tingling or burning sensation. A feeling of numbness and loss of sensations is also common with neuropathic pain. Usually, the body sends the pain signals when there is an injury, but with neuropathic pain, the pain is not triggered by an injury, the body unpromptedly sends the pain signals. Symptoms include spontaneous, untriggered pain, unpleasant feeling, shooting, burning or stabbing pain, difficulty resting or sleeping and evoked pain (pain caused by events that are usually not painful).
