About Gansecure 0.15% Eye Gel 5 gm

Gansecure 0.15% Eye Gel 5 gm belongs to the class of 'antivirals' used in treating herpes simplex keratitis. Herpes simplex keratitis is an infection that affects the cornea of the eye front surface of the eye) caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).

Gansecure 0.15% Eye Gel 5 gm contains Gancyclovir, which works by killing and stopping the growth of the herpes simplex virus on the cornea. Thereby helping to treat herpes simplex keratitis.

Gansecure 0.15% Eye Gel 5 gm is for ophthalmic (for the eye) use only. Avoid ingestion of this medicine. In case of accidental intake, consult your doctor immediately. Common side effects of Gansecure 0.15% Eye Gel 5 gm include eye irritation, burning/stinging sensation at the site of application, temporary blurred vision, sensitivity to the light, swollen and runny eyes, inflammation of the eyelids, and foreign body sensation. These side effects may not occur in every patient using Gansecure 0.15% Eye Gel 5 gm and gradually resolve over time if they occur. If the side effects persist longer or worsen, please seek a doctor's advice.

Directions for Use

Gansecure 0.15% Eye Gel 5 gm is for ophthalmic use only. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using Gansecure 0.15% Eye Gel 5 gm. Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops or a tiny amount of gel, as advised by the doctor, into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes. Replace the outer cap after use. Do not touch the container’s tip to the eye, eyelids or surrounding areas as it may contaminate Gansecure 0.15% Eye Gel 5 gm.
