Glybiotic Plus Ear Drops 5 ml

Glybiotic Plus Ear Drops 5 ml is a combination medicine used to treat bacterial and fungal infections of the ear. An ear infection occurs when the bacteria or fungi affect the middle or outer ear, leading to pain and inflammation. Infection of the middle ear (air-filled space behind the eardrum) is known as otitis media. In contrast, the inflammation of the external/outer ear canal that runs from the eardrum to the outside of the head is known as otitis externa.

Glybiotic Plus Ear Drops 5 ml is a combination of four drugs, namely: Beclometasone (corticosteroid), Clotrimazole (antifungal), Lidocaine (local anesthetic), and Neomycin (antibiotic). Beclometasone belongs to steroids that work by inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. Thereby, reduces the redness and swelling caused due to bacterial infections. Clotrimazole belongs to the class of antifungals that works by damaging the fungal cell membranes and kills fungi. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that decreases pain sensation by preventing pain signals from nerves to the brain. Neomycin belongs to the class of antibiotics that works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Thereby, it destroys bacteria.  

Use Glybiotic Plus Ear Drops 5 ml as prescribed by your doctor. Glybiotic Plus Ear Drops 5 ml is only for use in ears. You are advised to use Glybiotic Plus Ear Drops 5 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience mild irritation, stinging, or burning sensation in the ear. Most of these side effects of Glybiotic Plus Ear Drops 5 ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Glybiotic Plus Ear Drops 5 ml or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Glybiotic Plus Ear Drops 5 ml is not recommended for children. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult a doctor before using Glybiotic Plus Ear Drops 5 ml. Avoid contact of Glybiotic Plus Ear Drops 5 ml with nose, mouth, or eyes. In case Glybiotic Plus Ear Drops 5 ml comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. If you experience ear discharge, drainage, or worsening pain, stop using Glybiotic Plus Ear Drops 5 ml, and please consult a doctor immediately.

Please do not touch the container's tip to the ear or surrounding areas as it may contaminate Glybiotic Plus Ear Drops 5 ml. If you are using any other drops or remedies in the ear, inform your doctor before using Glybiotic Plus Ear Drops 5 ml.

• Include fruits, vegetables, high-quality proteins, and whole wheat grains in your diet to strengthen the immune system.
• Avoid getting things like shampoo, soap, and water into the ear as it can cause itching.
• Do not poke or scratch the ear as it can cause damage to the ear canal, leading to inflammation. The inflamed skin can be infected by bacteria or fungi, which can cause infections in the ear.
• Wash your hands often.
• Avoid second-hand smoke.
• Stay healthy as immunity prevents infections.

• Do not touch the dropper tip as it may contaminate the contents. Do not put any cotton into the ear after the administration of ear drops.
• Discard any unused medicine after the completion of the course of treatment.
• Glybiotic Plus Ear Drops 5 ml is an otic solution which is to be used only to treat infected ears; do not instill in the eyes.
