About Greatova 50 Tablet

Greatova 50 Tablet is a combination medicine indicated in the treatment of female infertility. It may help women who cannot get pregnant because they are not ovulating. Infertility is the inability to become pregnant and have a successful pregnancy.
 
Greatova 50 Tablet contains Clomiphene and Melatonin. Clomiphene stimulates the hormones which support ovulation. Melatonin protects the cells from free radicals that cause infertility. Thereby, Greatova 50 Tablet helps treat female infertility.
 
In some cases, Greatova 50 Tablet may cause side effects such as nausea, headache, vomiting, and hot flashes. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
 
Greatova 50 Tablet must not be used in pregnancy. In case of pregnancy, stop using this medicine. Tell your doctor straight away if you suspect being pregnant. Greatova 50 Tablet may cause blurred vision, drive or operate machinery only if you are alert. It may help women who cannot get pregnant because they are not ovulating and women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Greatova 50 Tablet contains Clomiphene and Melatonin. Clomiphene stimulates the hormones which support ovulation. Melatonin protects the cells from free radicals that cause infertility. Thereby, Greatova 50 Tablet helps treat female infertility.

Inform your doctor if you have ovarian cysts, enlarged ovaries, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), abnormal vaginal bleeding, uterine fibroids, endometriosis (tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus), thyroid or adrenal gland problems, pituitary tumour, high levels of fats, liver or kidney problems. Let your doctor know if you are taking any other medicines, including vitamin/mineral supplements or herbal products.

Abnormal uterine bleeding: In patients who are not diagnosed with abnormal genital bleeding, Greatova 50 Tablet is contraindicated. Evaluate the patients for the presence of neoplastic lesions.

Hepatic dysfunction: Greatova 50 Tablet is contraindicated for patients who have liver failure or a past history of hepatic dysfunction. The Greatova 50 Tablet is primarily metabolized in the liver and enters into enterohepatic circulation. Thus, there will be increase in serum concentration and half-life of Greatova 50 Tablet.

Pituitary activity: Greatova 50 Tablet is contraindicated for patients who have uncontrolled thyroid or adrenal dysfunction, or who have an organic intracranial lesion such as a pituitary tumour. Greatova 50 Tablet interacts with oestrogen receptors in several tissues, including the pituitary, causing a rise in pituitary gonadotropin secretion.

Hyperlipidemia: Some patients who are on Greatova 50 Tablet therapy have reported hypertriglyceridemia. Preexisting hyperlipidemia or a family history of hyperlipidemia, Higher doses of Greatova 50 Tablet for a long period are related to an increased risk of hypertriglyceridemia. In this conditions, Monitor plasma triglycerides regular basis and also at base line before initiating the therapy with Greatova 50 Tablet.

How to manage the interaction:
Hypertriglyceridemia may occur during Greatova 50 Tablet therapy, especially in patients with a family history of hyperlipidemia and use of higher than the recommended dose and/or longer duration of treatment. Periodic monitoring of plasma triglycerides is recommended in patients with preexisting or family history of hyperlipidemia. Pretreatment screening of triglyceride levels is advised in patients initiating Greatova 50 Tablet therapy.
