About Harmoni F Tablet 21's

Harmoni F Tablet 21's belongs to the group of medicines called ‘hormonal drugs’ used in the treatment of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). It is also used in the treatment of severe acne and hirsutism (excessive hair growth in the face and chest) in women. Polycystic ovary syndrome is a condition in which ovaries are affected.

Harmoni F Tablet 21's contains Cyproterene, Ethinylestradiol, and Folic acid. Cyproterone and Ethinyl estradiol are hormones. Cyproterone works by blocking a male hormone named androgen overproduction in the ovaries and reducing symptoms such as unwanted facial hair growth and acne. Ethinylestradiol acts as an enhancer. It enhances the effect of cyproterone by reducing the amount of androgens in the blood. It also regulates the menstrual cycle. Folic acid is a nutritional supplement.

You should take this medicine exactly as prescribed by the doctor. The common side-effects of Harmoni F Tablet 21's are weight gain, nausea, tender breast, stomach pain, headache, and mood changes. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if any of these side-effects persist or get worse, inform your doctor immediately.

It is not recommended to take Harmoni F Tablet 21's if you are allergic to any contents of it. Do not take Harmoni F Tablet 21's if you have breast cancer, history of blood clots, history of heart attack or stroke, blood clotting problems, migraine, severe liver disease, liver tumours and meningioma (benign tumour present in the tissue layer between the brain and the skull). It is not recommended for use in children, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers. Do not consume alcohol as it may increase the risk of side-effects. Harmoni F Tablet 21's may not affect your ability to drive.
