It may also be used for diagnostic and therapeutic medical procedures where spasms might be a problem, such as barium enema or gastroduodenal endoscopy, and to produce smooth muscle relaxation prior to radiological procedures like pyelography.

Hyscogen 20mg Injection contains ‘Hyoscine butylbromide’ that stops smooth muscle contractions by relaxing the muscles in the stomach, intestine, and bladder. Thereby providing relief from cramps, discomfort, and pain.

In some cases, Hyscogen 20mg Injection may cause side effects such as blurred vision, increased heart rate, dry mouth, dizziness, and constipation. Do not take Hyscogen 20mg Injection if you are allergic to any of its contents if you have glaucoma, myasthenia gravis (muscle problems), blockage of the gut, difficulty passing urine, very fast heart rate, or a very enlarged bowel. Inform your doctor if you have severe constipation, blood in stools, loss of appetite, fever, fast heart rate, overactive thyroid, or severe sweating problems. Do not take Hyscogen 20mg Injection if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Hyscogen 20mg Injection may cause blurred vision and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert.
